Denna såpbädd har en bas med många hål avsedda för vatten- och näringsupptag underifrån. Den är specifikt utformad för system som använder kapillärmattor, vilket möjliggör passiv bevattning och matning av unga plantor.
När den används med Autopot Tray2Grow-systemet placeras en kapillärmatta på Tray2Grow-basen, följt av ett rotkontrollerande ark. Upp till fyra av dessa såpbäddar kan sedan placeras ovanpå. Kapillärmattan drar fukt och näringsämnen från reservoaren genom bäddens hål in i odlingsmediet, vilket vattnar och matar plantorna. Denna konfiguration stöder "kapillärmatteuppsättningen" för förökning.
