Dual-channel NDVI sensor with SDI-12 protocol
The Apogee S2-411-SS NDVI sensor is a unique dual-channel digital sensor that measures 650 nm (red) and 810 nm (NIR) wavelengths. It communicates using the SDI-12 protocol, making it suitable for integration with compatible data loggers and controllers. The sensor features a robust, fully submersible aluminum housing designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions.
It comes with a high-quality cable terminating in pre-tinned pigtail leads for easy connection. The cable includes an IP68-rated connector for marine-grade durability and facilitates sensor removal for maintenance or calibration. Typical applications include monitoring plant canopy health, leaf area index, and chlorophyll content, often used to track seasonal vegetation changes.
