Gavita Master EL1 Controller

The Gavita Master EL1 Controller is designed for simultaneous switching, regulation, and temperature control of up to forty Gavita e-series fixtures. Simply connect the controller to the fixture; if there are more fixtures, use the included splitters (see diagram), set the control switch on the fixtures to EXT (external control), connect the controller and individual fixtures to the power outlet, and the installation is complete.

The controller can switch individual fixtures according to the built-in clock, set and indicate their light output (in percentages or absolute output in Watts), and even simulate sunrise and sunset for gradual adaptation to the climate in the growing space. This controller replaces expensive timers and contactors and further eliminates current surges when switching on the fixtures.

The most important advantages of this controller are the automatic output reduction and emergency shutdown functions. An increase in temperature above a certain limit can irreversibly damage your plants. If the temperature sensor registers an increase in temperature above the set value, the controller will automatically dim the output of the fixture to prevent further temperature rise. The display and warning LED indicate that this condition has occurred and also indicate if it occurred earlier during your absence. If, for any reason, the preceding measure fails and the temperature continues to rise to unacceptable levels despite automatic regulation, the system will perform an emergency shutdown of all connected equipment.
