Detect water leaks or monitor water levels
The Trolmaster Water Detector-Monitor (WD-1) serves a dual purpose: as a simple water leak detector for floors or spaces, and as a monitor to verify water presence in irrigation systems. When used as a monitor, it is placed where drainage water is expected to accumulate. This allows it to confirm if solenoids or pumps assigned to it on an Aqua-X system have activated successfully.
If the WD-1 fails to detect water within a set delay period after an output is triggered, the Aqua-X system sends a "watering failure" alert. Up to 25 WD-1 units can connect to a single Aqua-X device. For the Aqua-X Pro's auto-refill feature, two WD-1 sensors are used in a nutrient tank to manage fill levels. Note: The WD-1 detects water with dissolved solids; reverse osmosis water may not be detected due to low conductivity.
